Come out and have a great time with SECOND CHANCE.

Mark learned to play piano when he was 6 years old and taught himself to play guitar when he was 13. Mark played with several successful rock bands and was fortunate enough to open for Survivor (back in the day). Mark plays music because he loves it. He is grateful for his Second Chance band mates and for anyone who comes out to listen to live music.

Tim was born on the Southside of Chicago, raised on 50th & Halsted. Some of his Rock influences include Lee Pickens (Bloodrock), Leslie West (Mountain), Neal Schon (Journey), Ted Nugent, Pat Travers and the Schenker brothers. Some of his Blues/Rock influences include Johnny Winters, Freddie King, BB King, Lucky Peterson, Billy Gibbons and Stevie Ray Vaughan. It was Johnny Winters who turned Tim on to the Blues, with songs like “It’s My Own Fault” Tim enlisted in the 82nd airborne at Fort Bragg, NC. He became immersed in the culture of Southern Rock . Artists like The Allman Brothers, Marshall Tucker, Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Outlaws, Molly Hatchet, Black Foot, Charlie Daniels and Wet Willie made a tremendous impact on his playing and understanding of music. All of this culminated into the musician he is today. Returning to Chicago, Tim hit the Blues circuit. He performed at multiple venues; from Baby Duck’s Blues Nest to lead guitar & vocal duties in the house band for the House of Blues hotel. Tim was always a lead vocalist (as well as lead guitarist). Even after a bout with cancer and a tumor in his throat, Tim still has the growl to perform at a high level with a soulful, gritty vocal quality. Tim delivers a raw passion and emotion, evident in his blistering solos. He wears his heart on his sleeve and leaves nothing in the tank. All this for your listening pleasure and a second chance. Tim gives all glory to God for his grace and mercy…

Mark Feary

Drums

Mark is an accomplished drummer who was studied a number of disciplines under jazz legend Jack Mouse. Playing a number of venues throughout the Midwest and Europe with a number of bands both live and in studio, he was grateful to make a living as a working musician in his 20’s and 30’s. With his kids grown and starting lives of their own, Mark is looking forward to getting back to his roots in blues and rock, playing for fun and good times. Looking to re-ignite his love of playing he is eager to get back in the “pocket’ with Tim, Mark and Wayne.
